Quick and easy spaghetti

    In a fairly large skillet, melt about a tablespoon or so of shortening. Add 1 to 1 1/2#s of ground beef,hamburg or gound chuck and chop it up. Scatter 1 cup of dry spaghetti, broken into 1" pieces, over the top of the meat. Add as much chopped onion and green pepper as you like. Pour over all, 1 can of stewed tomatoes (there are now several flavors of stewed or chopped tomatoes, such as, tomatoes with basil and oregano, etc.. Try different ones. Add 1/2 cup of ketchup. Cover the skillet and cook on high until steam comes out. Turn down the heat to simmer and cook for 30 minutes. Stir and serve. Enjoy.
