MyCookbook Member: Jayhawker
Recipe Category: Dessert
Recipe Preparation Level: easy
    1 1/2cup sugar
    less than 3/4cup vegetable oil
    4 egg whites
    2T milk
    1 tsp vanilla
    3 1/2 cup flour
1 1/2tsp. each cream of tarter and baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt

Cream together the sugar, oil, and egg whites. Add the milk and vanilla. Mix together the flour, cream of tarter, baking soda, and salt. Mix the dry ingredients and the creamed mixture together. Refrigerate the dough unitl well chilled. Roll out and cut into shapes. OR After mixing the ingredients, make into walnut sized balls.
Bake @ 375 for 8-10 minutes. The secret to soft cookies is not to let the cookies get too brown. Taking the cookies out after 8 minutes prevents the cookies from getting too brown and too hard.

    For Frosting:
    Mix together:
    1 pound powdered sugar
    1/2tsp salt
    scant cream of tarter
    1/4 cup oil
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 cup milk
Beat all together for 5 minutes, adding more powdered sugar if frosting is too thin.
