Amish Oven Fried Chicken

    Amish Oven Fried Chicken

    1/3 cup oil 2 tsps black pepper
    1/3 cup butter 2 tsps paprika
    1 cup flour 1 tsp garlic salt
    1 tsp salt 1 tsp marjoram (opt)
    8-9 chicken pieces
    Place oil and butter in a shallow cookie or
    jelly roll pan and put in preheated 375 oven to melt. Set aside. In a large
    paper sack combine flour and seasonings. Roll the chicken pieces in the
    melted oil-butter
    mixture, then drop them in the sack and shake to cover. Place chicken on pan
    skin side down. Bake for 45 minutes, with
    spatula, turn over and bake 5 to 10 minutes longer or till suits you. Pan
    drippings make a super gravy.
