German pancake

    Preheat oven to 400-450 degrees.

    1/2 cup flour
    2 Tablespoons margarine
    2 eggs
    1/2 cup milk
    a pinch of salt

    Melt margarine in an iron-cast skillet or Dutch oven.

    Mix flour, eggs, salt, and milk in a bowl and stir till smooth or shake them in a covered jar till smooth.

    Pour the mixture into the skillet or Dutch oven and bake it in an oven for 20 minutes.

    Eat the pancake with syrup or jam or fruit over it.

    Two to four servings.

    Variations: cinnamon, raisin, or nuts.
