Meatballs in Mushroom Gravy

    3 large eggs, beaten
    1/3 cup milk
    3 slices white bread, crumbled
    2 lbs ground beef
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/2 cup chopped onions
    3 tbsp flour
    2 tbsp oil
    2 cups beef broth
    1 tsp oregano
    1 carton mushrooms, sliced
    1 1/2 cups yogurt (plain)
    1 tbls chopped parsley

    Preheat oven to 375F. In a bowl, mix eggs and milk.
    Stir in bread crumbs and salt. Add beef and mix well. Make into meatballs (about 60), then place in a shallow dish. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or til cooked. Drain. In a large skillet, cook chopped onions and mushrooms in oil til tender. Add flour, continue cooking for another minute. Add meatballs, beef broth and oregano. Cover and simmer for about 10 minutes. Remove meatballs from pan and transfer to a serving dish. Turn down heat and stir in plain yogurt. Season with salt and pepper, then pour over the meatballs. Sprinkle on parsley. Excellent with mashed potatoes.
