Chicken Paprika

    1 3 pound chicken, cut up
    8 slices diced bacon
    1/4 cup chopped onion
    1/2 cup + 2 Tbsp flour
    2 Tbsp paprika
    1 tsp salt
    1 cup chicken broth
    2/3 cup milk
    1 1/2 cups sour cream

    In heavy skillet, gently saute the diced bacon and onion until light golden. Remove bacon and onion, set aside. Combine the 1/2 cup flour, 1 1/2 tsp paprika and salt. Dredge the chicken pieces. Lightly brown chicken in the bacon drippings, cover and simmer 15 minutes. Remove the chicken and keep warm. Drain all but 2 Tbsp bacon drippings from skillet; add 2 Tbsp flour, chicken broth, milk and 1 1/2 Tbsp paprika. Stir constantly until thick. Return chicken, cover and simmer 25 minutes or until tender. Combine cooked bacon and onion with sour cream. Pour over chicken, heat 5 minutes, do not boil. Serve with noodles.
