3 lbs stew meat or chuck roast
6 cloves garlic
2 onions, chopped
4, 7oz cans chopped green chilis
3 T chili powder
3 T unsweetened cocoa powder
2 1/2 T cumin
1 1/2 tsp dried oregano
1 1/2 tsp ground allspice
4, 15oz cans beans (pinto, kidney & black)
rinsed and drained
3, 28oz cans crushed tomato w/puree
3 quarts beef broth
Dice meat and dry, then brown in olive oil. remove from pan and add the chopped onions and garlic, saute till softened. Add all the rest of the ingredients and the browned meat. Cover pot and bring to boil, lower to simmer and put in 200 oven and cook for 8 hours, or all day on low setting of crock pot.
