PEANUT BUTTER FINGERS

    BAR & FROSTING:

    1 c. flour
    1 c. oats
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. margarine or butter, softened
    1/3 c. peanut butter
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 egg

    1 c. (6 oz) chocolate chips

    GLAZE:

    1/3 c. powdered sugar
    2 Tbls. peanut butter
    3-5 tsp. milk


    Heat oven to 350*. Grease 13x9 pan.

    In large bowl, mix flour, soda and salt. Add all other bar ingredients EXCEPT chocolate chips and mix on low speed till like coarse crumbs. Press into bottom of pan.

    Bake for 15 - 20 minutes or till light golden brown. Don't overbake or the bars will be too hard.

    Remove from oven and IMMEDIATELY sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over top. Place a cookie sheet over the top of pan for 5 minutes. Remove cookie sheet and spread chocolate evenly over crust.

    In small bowl, mix glaze ingredients, using just enough milk to make right consistency. Drizzle glaze over chocolate. Cool completely, cut into bars.
