OKRA, CORN, AND TOMATO STEW

    3 TABLESPOONS OF BUTTER
    8 OUNCES OF OKRA, CUT INTO 1/2 INCH SLICES
    4 CUPS OF FROZEN CORN KERNELS, THAWED
    1 ONION, CHOPPED
    2 TOMATOES, CHOPPED
    SALT AND PEPPER, TO TASTE

    --IN A LARGE POT, MELT BUTTER OVER MEDIUM HEAT. ADD OKRA, CORN, ONION, AND TOMATOES. SEASON WITH SALT AND PEPPER TO TASTE. BRING TO A SIMMER STIRRING OFTEN. REDUCE HEAT TO MEDIUM LOW AND SIMMER UNTIL OKRA IS TENDER, ABOUT 35 MINUTES.
