Meatball Sub Casserole

1 lb. loaf Italian bread, sliced 1"
8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/2 C. mayo
1 t. Italian seasoning
1/2 t. pepper
2 C. shredded mozzarella, divided
28 oz. jar spaghetti sauce
1 C. water
2 garlic cloves, minced
Put single layer of bread in an ungreased 13"x9" pan. Combine cream cheese, mayo, Italian seasoning and pepper; spread over the bread. Sprinkle with 1/2 C. mozzarella cheese. Combine sauce, water and garlic; add meatballs. Pour over cheese mixture; sprinkle with remaining mozzarella. Bake uncovered at 350F for 30 minutes or until heated through. Serves 6.
