Jalepeno Jelly

    6-8 pts

    10-12 jalepenos....leave seeds ...
    2 lg gr bell peppers
    1 1/2 cups distilled vinegar
    6 c sugar
    1/3 c lemon juice
    10-12 drops gr food color
    4 oz. liquid pectin

    Place chilis and peppers in food chopper until right consistency.

    Combine puree and vinegar in lg saucepan, bring to rapid boil over high heat for 10 mins.

    Stir occasionally watch closely remove from heat...stir in sugar and lemon juice return to heat and bring back to boil, stir in pectin and coloring stir one to two mins..skim off foam and
    put in jars
