Honey Walnut Filled Doughnuts

1 pkg yeast
2 tbls water
2 tbls honey
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbls butter
1/4 cup milk
oil for frying
1/4 cup chopped dried apricots
1/4 cup chopped dried apple
1/4 cup walnuts
2 tbls honey
Dissolve yeast in warm water; stir in honey. Mix flour and salt; blend in butter. Add yeast, egg
and milk to form soft dough. Knead 5 minutes on a greased baking sheet. Cover and let rise in a warm place until double.
Shape dough into 12 rounds. Deep fry in 350F oil until browned on both sides; turn dough over halfway through cooking time. Drain on paper towels.
Mix filling ingredients together. Slit one side of doughnut and fill each with 2 to 3 teaspoons of filling.
Serve with extra honey to drizzle on.
