Honey BBQ Wings

    Sauce:
    1 1/4 cup ketchup
    1/3 cup white vinegar
    1/4 cup molasses
    1/4 cup honey
    1 teaspoon liquid smoke flavoring
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/4 teaspoon onion powder
    1/4 teaspoon chili powder

    oil for deep frying
    20 chicken wings
    1 egg, beaten
    1 cup milk
    2 cups flour
    2 1/2 teaspoons salt
    3/4 teaspoon pepper

    Mix sauce ingredients in a small pan over medium. Stir til well-combined then bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 15-20 minutes

    While sauce is simmering, heat up oil in a deep fryer set to 350 degrees. Mix the egg with the milk in a small bowl. In another bowl, mix flour, salt and pepper.

    When oil is hot, dip each wing first in flour, then in milk and egg mixture, and back into the flour. Fry in oil for 10 minutes or til light, golden brown. If you have a small fryer fry a few at a time. Drain on paper towels.

    When sauce is done, brush entire surface of each wing with a light coating. Serve immediately.

    Makes 20.
