Fish Tacos

MyCookbook Recipe Database

Recipe Category: Seafood
Recipe Preparation Level: easy
1 lb. white fish, I usually use Tilapia
cut fish into approx. 2 x 1 inch pieces
dip fish in a mixture of egg and milk (i use 1 egg + 1 more egg white + plus approx. 2 Tbs. of milk, beat w/ a fork)
then dip the fish into bread crumbs (i buy the seasoned progresso can of breadcrumbs)
either fry or bake the fish (I've done both and of course the fried in a half inch of oil is so good!)
put them between paper towels or brown paper bag to remove the excess oil
heat corn tortillas on an open flame (if you have a gas stove) or in a tortilla warmer steam them in the the microwave (you could also fry the tortillas, which is good but just to much grease & fat for me & my stomach)
put the fish in the tortillas and top with any of the following favorite taco toppings:
    hot sauce
    sour cream
    thinly sliced cabbage
