2/3 c. whipping cream
2 c. (12oz.) hershey's semi-sweet chocolate chips
1-2 Tbs. desired liqueur or 2 tsp. vanilla
grated almonds for coating.
Suggested Liqueurs: creme de cacao, creme de'almond, coffee liqueur or irish creme.
Pour whipping cream into heavy 2 qt. sauce pan & bring just to boiling. Remove from heat. Add chocolate chips & whisk until melted & smooth. Stir in liqueur or vanilla. Pour into medium bowl. Cover & refrigerate bowl for 3 hours or until firm.
Drop chocolate mixture by tsp. onto wax paper-lined baking sheet. Freeze about 45 minutes or until firm.
Place grated almonds in small bowl. Roll chocolate mixture in your hands to form 1" balls. Roll balls in almonds. Cover & refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Before serving, let stand for 30 minutes at room temp. Store in tightly covered container in refrigerator.
