3 qt plain popped popcorn
1/2 C butter
1/2 C brown sugar
1/2 C sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 C light Karo
5 oz pkg sliced natural almonds
1/4 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 Tbsp butter flavoring
Place popcorn in a large pan that has been sprayed with Pam and set aside. In pan on low mix sugars, butter, salt, and corn syrup. Let come to a soft boil and put lid on pan for 30 seconds. Remove lid and stir. Turn heat down and let boil gently without lid for 5 minutes - stir constantly. Remove from heat and stir in baking soda. Foaming is normal. Stir til dissolved. Add butter flavoring and stir. Pour over popcorn slowly - stirring constantly, coating all popcorn gently. When coated, pour almonds in and stir well.
Put in a 225 oven for 1 hour. Stir and mix every 15 minutes. When finished baking pour on a nonstick surface and let cool.
