Asparagus Pesto Pizza

    Serves 4
    3/4 lb. asparagus, cut _" lengths
    1 Tbs. oil
    1 Tbs. pine nuts
    1 cup fresh basil leaves
    1 clove garlic, chopped
    2 Tbs. Romano or Parmesan, grtd
    1 Tbs. oil
    1 lg baked cheese pizza crust
    1 red bell pepper, sd, chpd
    1/2 lb. shredded mozzarella
    1/4 cup grated Parmesan

    Preheat oven 350°F. Place asparagus in steamer over boiling water. Cover pan, steam 5 minutes, or til bright green and alt tender. Drain, rinse under cold water and rinse again. Heat oil in a hvy saucepan over med high heat. Sauté nuts 3-5 min, stirring constantly, til lightly browned. Transfer nuts in oil and next 4 ingredients to a blender or food processor, process til smooth. Spread pesto over crust, top with asparagus, pepper, mozzarella and Parmesan. Place pizza on oven tray and bake 15 min, or til topping is golden brown.
    Per serving: calories 429, fat 21.8g, 43% calories from fat, cholesterol 41mg, protein 27.2g, carbohydrates 36.6g, fiber 5.8g, sodium 609mg.
