Phylliscooks:
Have a Thanksgiving feast with Chef Charlie Palmer's recipes!
Phyllis Steinberg
Phyllis Steinberg is a food and travel writer in Florida. Her food columns appear in several papers in South Florida including the Coral Springs Forum, Boynton Beach Times, Boca Raton Times, Eastsider, Jewish Journal, Sun-Sentinel Shalom Today, Delray Times and Wellington Forum.
Chosen by Zagat's as the number one restaurant in New York for American cuisine, Charlie Palmer's Aureole is a Manhattan classic.
His cookbook, Great American Food, is a treasury of great American cooking. Palmer recently opened another restaurant called the Dry Creek Kitchen in Northern Sonoma Wine Country in Healdsburg, CA where vacationers as well as locals are enjoying his outstanding cuisine. I recently attended a wedding in wine country and had an opportunity to dine at Dry Creek Kitchen and enjoyed the tasty American cuisine prepared by Mark Purdy, Executive Chef at Dry Creek.
At Dry Creek Kitchen, Palmer's menu focuses on great and simple foods highlighting Sonoma County's freshest ingredients accented by an in depth wine list
of exclusively Sonoma County wines. Dry Creek Kitchen is located 67 miles north of San Francisco. I couldn't help thinking that Palmer's recipes would make for great accompaniments for a Thanksgiving meal for mycookbook.com readers.
Have a happy Thanksgiving with some of Charlie Palmer's favorite American recipes from Great American Food . Put your turkey in the oven and try some of these delicious additions to your holiday meal.
